WORK EXPERIENCE2000 – Present, Founder and Creative Director of STEiNUNN. The company was established in 2000
2000 – 2002. Design Director La Perla Ready to Wear. Responsible for all designs on La Perla Ready to wear from fur, leather, jeans, shoes, evening dresses to swimsuits and knitwear. Director of Fashion shows in Milan.
1995 - 2000. Director, Senior Designer, Gucci GroupResponsible to Mr. Ford for developing women’s and men’s collection of knitwear, underwear, swimwear and cut and sawn knitwear. Developed concept and sketches for presentations. Responsible for all yarn and fabric research, coordinate fittings, specs, presentations and samples for fashion shows. Working on creating the looks for all fashions shows. Extensive experience with exclusive yarn and fabric qualities.
1989 - 1995. Director, Senior Designer Calvin Klein Inc., Collection, CK Sport and Jeans DivisionsResponsible to Mr. Klein for developing women’s Collection, CK Sport, Jeans and Home furnishing knitwear lines. Extensive experience with exclusive yarn and fabric qualities. Travelled to orient and throughout US to supervise production. Computerized all spec information for use by production department. Supervised assistants.
1988 - 1989. Freelance DesignerCreated swatches oversaw hand knit design and coordinated presentations for Donna Karen, Banana Republic, Jeffrey Banks, Gucci and Vogue knitting. Developed concepts and sketches for entire Henry Bendel Private label knitwear line. Managed Gloria Sachs knitwear line, from concept through manufacturing at factory in Northern Ireland.
1987 - 1988. Designer Polo/Ralph Lauren CollectionWorked directly with Mr. Lauren on all sweaters for his collection line. Extensive experience with cashmere, silk and other exclusive yarn qualities.
1986 - 1987. Assistant Designer Carmelo PomodoroWas the first employee of the company, started travelling to supervise samples and production. Supervised pattern makers and organized fashion shows.
